Question?

Having a "New Year's Resolution" is a common practice among Americans and is usually focused on the physical self.  For example. "I am going to lose weight!" or "I am going to stop drinking caffeine!"  Instead of sharing our resolutions about the physical betterment of ourselves let share what we hope to see God do this year: in ourselves, in our church, in our families, in our communities, and in our world.  You don't have to share all of them.  I'm just trying to give you some ideas.  In other words I'm asking you to share your prayer requests for 2008 so that we can lift them up together and look forward to see God work in us and those around us.

"And I tell you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks it will be opened. What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent;"
Luke 11:9-11

I hope that God will grow our life group even closer as a family. I hope that will be true among all the life groups and this would spill out into our church as a whole and we would begin to love and serve one another the way God calls us to.

My prayer is that Trish and I will grow closer to the Lord together and that He will show us His will for us as a couple. Also, that He will continue to reveal Himself to me through prayer and other believers.

I hope and pray that this year I will be more bold in sharing Jesus with the people I work for.
